Steppin' Out Annual Performance + March News

We are so excited to announce that the Steppin' Out 2014 performance dates have been confirmed: Teens and young adults will perform both Saturday, 6/7, and Sunday, 6/8, at Everett Middle School. Younger performers will perform only on Sunday, 6/8, at Everett Middle School. Please mark your calendars. We will be measuring all our dancers for costumes over the next couple of weeks so that we can order by mid-March. Also, as we build momentum toward this huge endeavor, your child's presence each week becomes more and more important, so please try to attend as many classes as possible this spring. It will all be worth it when our performers shine on stage in early June!

MOVEMENT OF THE MONTH: MARCH IN MARCH!
Marching is fun and accessible to dancers of all ages and abilities. Plus, bringing each knee up high one at a time is great preparation for skipping, which can be a trickier movement to attain. So this month, play some music or just create your own percussive beat and encourage your dancers to march around the house. Beginners can have fun just lifting their knees up high, while intermediate students should try to synchronize their steps to the music. While you're helping them, why not join them? Then the whole family can march together in the spirit of this month.

PLEASE DONATE TO OUR COSTUME DRIVE IN APRIL
During the month of April, we will be raising funds for families who could use a little help paying for costumes for the performance. There are two ways to participate: We'll be accepting donations for coffee (on Saturdays) and tea (during the week) through a basket in the kitchen throughout April. Additionally or alternatively, families might add a $1 donation to their April tuition when they pay at the front desk. Donating is completely optional, but if you are able to give a small amount, we can make sure all dancers get a chance to perform. And if you are a family in need of support for buying costumes, please contact Angela.
